Who we are

Handova is a shift handover and reporting platform for offshore contractors, operated by Handova Ltd. For questions about how we handle your data, contact us at hello@handova.co.uk.

What data we collect

We collect the following types of information:

• •Usage data: tasks, jobs, clients, reports created within the platform
• •Payment data: handled by Stripe — we do not store card details
• •Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information

How we use your data

We use your data for the following purposes:

• •To provide and improve the Handova platform
• •To send transactional emails (daily reports, service reports)
• •To process payments via Stripe
• •To communicate about your account and subscription

How we store your data

Data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the EU. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest to protect your information from unauthorised access.

AI-generated service reports are stored within your Handova account on Supabase. Raw report content sent to Anthropic for processing is not stored by Anthropic after your request is completed.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with trusted third parties for specific purposes:

• •Stripe for payment processing
• •Resend for transactional email delivery
• •Supabase for database hosting
• •Anthropic for AI service report generation — only when explicitly requested by the user. Anthropic does not use this data for AI training.

AI-powered features

Handova uses Anthropic's Claude API to power our AI service report generation feature. When you choose to use this feature, the content of your daily reports and task logs is sent to Anthropic's API for processing in order to generate your service report.

Anthropic does not use data submitted via their API to train their AI models. Your operational data is processed solely to generate your requested report and is not retained by Anthropic beyond the processing of your request.

Important:data is only sent to the AI when you explicitly click 'Generate AI service report.' Nothing is sent automatically or in the background.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You also have the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@handova.co.uk.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the platform to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of significant changes by email.
